Here you will find a digital video on Author's Purpose. This was a lesson taught to my third grade reading classes. This was a review lesson on this skill. Digital videos are great ways to teach and have students interact with the material in class. Students are able to get into groups and decide which selections fall into what categories of persuade, inform, and entertain.

ReplyDeleteI loved the idea of using a plate to make a pie and placing types of persuasive, informative, and entertaining writing under each letter. This is a great tool for students to use to help them remember different types of writing! Great idea!
